How to ensure your company's e-mail security.

In this article, we will share brief information about e-mail security. You can take security measures for the corporate and personal e-mail addresses you use. First comes the password of your e-mail account. Password quality rests with you as you are the one who determines your password. Make sure you use mixed characters in your password. Your password must contain uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, special characters, and must be at least 8 characters long.

The second and another important step is ensuring the security of your computer using an Internet Security software. Using just an antivirus program will not be sufficient. You should prefer Internet Security versions that take complete care of your computer. These types of software provide instant protection by automatically updating itself. These are licensed software, so they are not free. You should buy one if you wish to use it. You should also provide a separate license for each user. You should not try to save money in this application and consider it as a small investment which will help you prevent larger and higher-cost losses. You can consult your contracted maintenance/support services company to discuss these issues.

There are also measures you should take during the usage phase. Many people receive spam e-mails these days. Most importantly, you should delete e-mails sent by people you don't know and never open the attachments in such e-mails. Viruses contained in attachments cause great damage to companies. However, if you have an Internet Security software, as mentioned above, it will block such e-mail threats. Even so, you should always be careful.

So, you should use a secure e-mail infrastructure. You can get your e-mails through infrastructure systems such as Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. These are paid services and you need to pay for monthly or annual subscriptions per user. If you use such paid services, you receive very few spam e-mails as they provide stronger server-based protection and a higher e-mail quota.

If you notice a harmful infection on your computer, the first thing you need to do is clean up your system and change your e-mail password.

We wish you a safe and peaceful work life :)
